Playa Blanca Hotel and Resort

A Place where the sky is blue and all is inclusive

The Hotel and Tourism Business in Panama is growing fast, bringing people from all over the globe to enjoy what Panama has both for locals and internationals.  This time I will showcase to the world the Playa Blanca Hotel and Resort.  The hotel is located in the province of Cocle at 45 minutes from the Capital City, to get to the hotel you need to take buses going to Penonome and Anton stopping at Rio Hato. the transportation  fee is of only 4 dollars from Panama.

this is the lobby of the Hotel. it has a countryside design, with fine furniture and flat TV. by the lobby there is a coffee shop where you can enjoy a cappuccino while waiting for the keys of your room.

The hotel is also located near one of the newest international airports in Central America, with modern infrastructure and excellent amenities to the customers. This airport has added an extraordinary attractive to the area for Hotels customers do not need to go to Panama City to take the plane for their  destinations.
The Playa Blanca Hotel and Resort has different concepts to offer. If you bring your family and want to feel like home away from home, the hotel has exclusive villages for those more demanding.  The village houses have a delicate, fresh and Spanish-like design with views to one of the best beaches in Panama. the Houses have beautiful tropical gardening that matches all around.   Security is for the hotel management the best trait, since all the villages have security guards and night watchmen and nice lighting.  So you feel free to walk around, jog or just simple talk with a friend in one of the private bars.

The bars are so diverse that you can find sport bars, pool bars and a bar by the pool. The sport bars tells history as you enter.  I was amazed by the appealing design. It is a place that evokes sophistication; that touch of elegance and a fine taste for the best wines.  The lighting changes according to the music played and the customer care service is just made according to the customer’s needs and wants.

this is the main bar and the activities center.  all the activities are beautifully planned for kids and why not for us too.  the pool has life guards that are all the time taking care of everyone. they are friendly and even teach you swimming techniques to make your experience at the pool more rewarding.

as you see the activities Center is made by Palm Leaves that delicately go down in the shape of a ranch. the organization of the scenario for the entertaining activities is just amazing.
foreigners get delighted, impressed and stunned by how the performers enthusiastically create the activities with such energy to involve everyone.

more pictures about the west section of the pool,
besides this pool the hotel proudly boasts the biggest pool in Central America. this pool is located in the condominiums. It is so amazing that I do not miss the chance to have a dive there.
Palm trees are part of the landscape bringing you that sense of freedom, peace of mind under ranch-like umbrellas looking like mushrooms.  there you can enjoy your favorite music or just ask the DJ for the hit you like the most.

sun, sun and more sun is what you get. the weather in summer is perfect, a nice, fresh breeze touches your face as you relax or drink one of your favorite shots talking with friends.
for those like me who love exotic animals like toucans, macaws. the hotel has an area where you can see them, take pictures and feed them with your hands.
 this red flag macaw

though I have to say that they need to have a better treatment for I saw one with its eye hurt. I am here to highlight the good things and to say the right things.

I suggest to get them checked by a professional in order to keep them in good health.

this is the pool for kids.
this is the module with views to the beach. you feel like home. the hotel restaurants are all inclusive with a buffet style, the food is good but the service is even better

the hotel has internet service and cable TV. the rooms are so spacious with balconies and room service included too if you do not feel like going out.

I rated my experience in this hotel with four stars out of five, I will definitely recommend it if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of you daily life and submerge yourself in a quiet place.

Amazing Natural Architecture

 The Holy Spirit Orchid Fair

Las Minas  is a small District in the Herrera Province at only 30 minutes from the Ocu District. the place is the mecca of a great diversity of flora and fauna. the temperature is very welcoming since it is always cool and in the afternoon you can enjoy the freshness of the air and the elegance of the sun hitting the west. its population is mainly formed by farmers. the landscape is very attractive if you are a nature-fan, and pleasant and quiet that you can even listen insects noises at night.

it is also known as the small chiriqui of the Herrera Province for its diversity in terms of natural richness.  the place boasts to have one of the most beautiful orchids in the country. it is so unique that the dwellers have separated in the calendar a week to celebrate their uniqueness and the honor to boast this honor.
Las Flor de Espiritu Santo Orchid Fair  seeks to highlight the traditions of the town.
I asked a bit about why the name of the Orchid, according to what the dwellers told me is due for the magnificent shape of the Orchid, the flower clearly resembles a white spotted dove in its nest, elegantly boasting its fan of feathers and wings backward.  the colors are so exquisite and captivating to the eyes that you just want to see it over and over again.

Besides this Orchid,  the town has a lot of other vivid and sort-of unique ones for the pickiest of the eyes. more ahead I will show you a range of all the verities that I could catch with my camera.
the adjective that I can use to describe them is "amazing". most of the have been awarded first places for its uniqueness, shape and vivid colors in the National Orchid Contest.

in this weeks, the inhabitants of the town not only put in display what they have to show off in terms of Orchid breeding, but also in its outstanding culinary diversity, cultural wealth, people warmth and educational behavior.
I have the chance to eat dishes that I have never eaten in any other place of the Herrera province, so come and join me the next year to celebrate diversity and taste for yourself what this District has for you. this wonderful fair is celebrated on September
5th through 8th.

Every Fair must have a Queen. as you see this one is embellished by the National Dress and her card was adorned with just-cut Orchid combining her Dress as a symbiosis, she is resembling the dove in the Holy Spirit Orchid.

This is the Pollera or National Dress.

Coming up, pictures of Queen from different sub-district of the las Minas District.  they all were wearing the National Dress but made in different colors and techniques.   Las Minas is small but Culturally rich. All the Queen must have come on cards pulled by bulls. this is a requirement for this fair. if you don't have one of this, sorry you can participate, they are very jealous on keeping their traditions.

People dancing at the streets with Colorful Attires

on your right, women gallantly dancing, spreading their polleras out so that the appealing and luring designs can be shown off.

Now the stars of this Event are just getting ready to show up, sit back and enjoy.
